Lost and Food
Identity and concept for a supermarket
Lost and Food is a store, which rescues food in
cooperation with other supermarkets and farmers.
I developed the project in my bachelor semester together with Retail Designer Melissa Mast in wintersemester 2017. Every year 18 Mio. tons of food are thrown away - only in Germany. Mostly the date expired or the package is damaged but it is still edible. We designed a furniture which is made especially for our circumstances - every day changing range of food and the possibility to be spontaneously about that. We build a 3D-Store on 65 squaremeters and many advertisement products such as posters and postcards. You can already visit the store on our website. Our goal is, to try to realize the store in the future. If you are interested in supporting or helping, please contact me!

A poster series I made for an exhibition from two friends about food.
The xray/hybrids course dealt with experimental design strategies using computertomographic data.
Led by Prof. Gabi Schilling and Dipl.-Des./graduate designer Jochen Zäh, and supported by the Fraunhofer Institute, we explored different natural objects using computer tomography.
The result was a walk-in installation with computertomographic images and projections.
The publisher "Droste Verlag" from Düsseldorf asked our course to design a book for them, based on a special content. The book should include illustrations and have at least 100 pages.
Together with Nina Arndt and Lara Kleinpoppen we designed a DINA5 book which dealt about the popular "Altbier" and locations where you can enjoy it in Düsseldorf.
Text, Layout and illustrations were developed by us.
The designer duo i like birds from Hamburg paid a visit to the Hochschule Düsseldorf.
During the workshop we were provided with several topic-related covers. Our task was to create a dina5 booklet with its own content. My topic was „silver“, I created a series of imaginary medical devices.
In november 2014 I took part in an excursion to Amsterdam, together with 30 other students and the tutors Holger Jacobs and Sebastian Pataki. We visited overall 16 studios in Amsterdam, Rotterdam and the Hague. Three studios inspired me in particular: Meeusontwerpt, Ruben Doornweerd and Team Thursday.
I created a booklet showing the most important projects from those studios. The layout and the typography were particularly important to me.
In the context of a course led by Prof. Korfmacher, a work dealing with typography in public spaces in Derendorf, a (city) district of Düsseldorf, was created. In addition we created a photoseries which was later published in a newspaper. The typography's analysis has deliberately been left out to give the viewers the oppportunity to judge for themselves about the quality of the typography. Furthermore a typeface deriving from the streets of Derendorf, was created.
The lettering „Derenschrift“ can be spread in form of a sticker in Derendorf.
A cooperation with Tobias Hönow.
In 2013 Malte Just gave a course which dealt with the subject "folding". I developed an installation in cooperation with Saskia Egetenmeier, Raoul Gottschling and Janice Nehling.
By touching the installation you were able to create different kind of sounds, controlled by bending sensors.
